Sons of Norway District 6 Lodge # 108

Shastafjell Lodge was organized May 19, 1973 by Norwegians and their descendants from the Redding area. From its inception, the Lodge has provided a place for members, their friends and acquaintances to gather to promote an appreciation and insight for Norwegian culture and heritage. Shastafjell Lodge also provides an opportunity for camaraderie and great times at Lodge events.

Activities are held throughout the year to promote and preserve Norwegian culture and the enjoyment of members. Activities include a lefse bake, Whoopie social, 17th of May celebration, Shasta Lake dinner cruise, summer barbeque, Riverfront Playhouse live theater buyouts, Christmas Party, potlucks, Norwegian movie night and more. Cultural programs are presented at meetings on the history / lifestyles / travel experiences of Norway and other topics of interest.

Some of the benefits of membership include:
The enjoyment of working with other Norwegians to create an organization that can fulfill the needs and desires of the members in our community.
